Neil Kazaross is one of the best backgammon players in the world. During the past decade he has been ranked highest in Kent Goulding's International Rating List, was five times "Player of the Year" at Chicago's Bar Point Club and won the "American Backgammon Tour" twice. In a recent "Top 32 Giants of Backgammon" survey, Neil's peers ranked him the fourth best player in the world. His credentials as an analyst are equally strong, with illuminating articles, live commentaries at international tournaments, and seminars to his credit.
In this book we analyze three of Neil's recent matches and attempt to measure the errors of each player and their cost, summarizing the errors that are most typical. Neil contributed substantially to this book, reviewing our draft and supplying his own comments where he thought appropriate. We hope that these three recent matches have shown you not only the quality of Neil Kazaross's game, but also some positions from which you can learn.

Antonio Ortega, five-time national champion of Costa Rica, wrote the accliamed Fascinating Backgammon and is a main co-author of the much-praised books Costa Rica 1993, Costa Rica 1994, Cubes and Gammons Near the End of the match and Gerry Grandell: His Most Important Matches.
Danny Kleinman, world-renowned analyst and backgammon theoretician, wrote the classic Vision Laughs at Counting and many other backgammon books.
