I hit the short cut on desktop,
The fastest way to dial up!
I hear it ringing in my ear!
LOOK OUT ZONE! I'm almost there!
Its opening! and I sign in,
ZM pops up, I start to grin ...
Cos I can see your name so clear.
As you pop up to say "I'm here!"
"I'll meet you in our ladder room,
Just go on in, I'll be there soon."
You know it's you I want to play,
Perhaps this is my lucky day!
We roll the dice, It's your turn first.
A six and three! What could be worse?
I hear you mumble as you move your chip,
And I start to giggle, so I bite my lip!
Now ... a six and four wouldn't be bad ....
Oh look! Thats exactly what I have!
We move around one by one,
I'm on the bar! What have you done??
New Horizons calling
I'm ready as can be
I'll keep on playin backgammon, but the fact is
Backgammon is playin me.
You hit me once you hit me twice,
You hit me three and hit me four
Oh what a hell I might as well
I'll let you you hit me come on hit me more.
An open chip is in your home!
If there be luck, then I need some!
The dice are slowly rolling now,
They finally stop, I look, OH WOW!
A double 6 is what I see!
I hit your chip and fly with speed!
Around the board, goes my chip,
An open peg is where I slip!
I havent got a job
My future is not clear
My girlfriend left me yesterday
There's nothing for me here.
So gimme just a 4, Oh Lord
And let me off this bar!
And after 4 you gimme 6,
And I'll give you my car ....

OH NO! I roll a a three and two!
There's really nothin much I can do.

It seemed so close, but was so far.
The win was just within my grasp.
Guess not to be, This too shall pass.
