Should White double to 2? |
Here, White needs twelve and a half throws to get into his inner board: a half throw for each of the five men on the W7, W8, and W10 points; one throw each for the two men on the B12 point; one and a half throws for each of the two men on the B7 point; and two and a half throws for each of the two men on the B1 point. Black is only slightly ahead: he needs eleven throws to get in. It will probably take him one half throw for each of the two men on the B8 point; one throw for each of the five men on the W11 and W12 points; and two and a half throws for each of the men on the W1 and W2 points.
