Position 13, page 22
From Better Backgammon, by Tim Holland

White to play 4-3.

The correct play is to move both men from your 8 point to your 5 and 4 points. This position is vastly different from Position 12. By preventing Black’s escape with one of his men from your 1 point, you are forcing him to break his board on his next roll with anything but double 6s. As a result, in the event you are forced to leave a blot which in turn is hit, you will not have a closed board facing you.
