The correct play is to move two men from your 6 point to your 4 point and two men from you 5 point to your 3 point. The result of these moves is that you have eliminated the possibility of having to leave a blot on your next roll and minimized the chances of this for the next few rolls.
If you were to bear two men off your 4 point, on your succeeding roll, the combination of 6 and 5 or 5 and 4 would force you to leave two blots.
In general, when bearing off, and your opponent holds your 1 point, there is less likelihood of being forced to leave a blot when you have several men on few points that it is when you have few men on several points.
