White to play 3-2.

Move two men from black twelve point to your ten and eleven points. The recommended move with 3-2 puts two men in your outer board, a good start toward a blocking strategy. Your blots are exposed to only a nine or ten, and you are in a fine position to make points if you are not hit.

The best alternate play is to move one of your back men to the black four point, and one man from the black twelve to your eleven point. A poor play is to move a man from the black twelve to your ten point and one back man from the black one to the black three point. Remember, the least desirable split of your two back men is to the black one and three points, where double 5 will enable your opponent to hit them both.
