Position 24k, page 82
From The Backgammon Book, by Oswald Jacoby and John R. Crawford

White to play 4-2.

This play offers alternate choices of equal merit. You might ignore his blot and just make your four point (moving a man each from your eight and six points); or you might move the whole six points with one of the men on his twelve point in order to hit that blot on your bar point. It is one of the many, many situations in backgammon where there is just no best way to play a certain roll.
