Here us another example of this strategy. Again the proper play is to enter and establish Black’s 4 point, and move one man from Black’s 12 point to White’s 11 point.

As in Position 51, you must maintain a solid defensive position in Black’s home board, which effectively puts a stop to his attack and at the same time starts an offensive of your own. If your blot on this 10 point is not hit, your chances of making a valuable point on your next roll are excellent.
