It is downright silly to run with one man if you happen to roll 6-4. Simply move two men from the black twelve point. You aren’t in real danger of being gammoned if you keep your two men on the black four point. One the other hand, if you do run with one man and then black rolls any combination of 4s, 3s, 2s, and 1s, he will hit your blot and make his four point; then you will be in real danger of losing a gammon.
