Number of games per match

Does anybody have any _empirical_ statistics on number of games in
a match or the length (in time) of matches as a function of the
match lengths?

I found an old note on this, suggesting that:
E(#games) = .77*matchlength - .25
So a 11 point match should last on average about 8.2 games.
I think this is based on numbers posted by JP White, from a database of
some sorts. I once saw data collected from FIBS, but I can't find them
now.
