Html/Php: BG Replay (match replayer)
|
I've written a system for publishing backgammon games in animated format
on the web (it's aimed at people who run backgammon websites). Pages
that use it can read games in .gam or GNU text-export format (plus an
XML dialect), and play them out by moving the pieces around the board.
Users can control playback, jump to plays, etc, etc. The system also has
a scripting language for writing free-format tutorials.
I'd be very grateful for any feedback (e.g. do you like it?, does it
work on your computer?). You can see it in action, plus full details,
at:
http://www.paulspages.co.uk/bgreplay
(Note - this isn't one of those scams to get people to visit dodgy
websites - there really is a system for replaying backgammon games
there!
:-))
The pages work on IE, Mozilla Firefox and Opera, although they should
they should also work in any reasonably modern browser. I've only tested
it under Windows, and I'd be particularly interested to hear how it
works on Macs and other platforms.
Thanks in advance to anyone who has a look.
Paul Stephens.
