Here are some rules. (Unfortunately, I have not been able to try out
this game: I have never had simultaneous access to a set of dominos, a
backgammon set and someone willing to try it out. I found them in J du C
Vere Molyneux' book _Begin Backgammon_ 1984, which contains the
memorable sentences "Doubling is economic blackmail" and "The doubling
cube should be banned from tournaments")

Get rid of the blanks 60, 50 etc. The remainder are distributed thus:

First Player (white) 66 33 11 64 62 54 53 51 42 31 21
Second 55 44 22 65 63 61 52 43 41 32

Set up the board normally, with your dominos on your right; the doublets
at the top, separated from the others.

To play: pick up one of your dominos and put it into your inner board
and make your play on the board as if it were a dice throw. Return it to
your right, whence it came, but face down, making it (for the time
being) unplayable. In this way all the dominos are played, ending up
face down. At this point the sets are swapped and play continues as
before. You are not allowed to move your back-men or runners until the
4th move.

Doubles are different: they can only be played after the first swap-over
of the non-doubles. They must be played in ascending order (first player
must play his first double with the 11, his second with the 33, his last
with the 66). They can only be played once in any game, and they are not
swapped. Once played, the player must also turn over a non-double
domino. If a player cannot go, he must turn over a domino.

There you are: BG with no dice!
