Money Game Rakes, July 2006

Stake GG CG BGM TMG GE PG
$100/point   0.4%    2.5%    2.9%    2.4%    2.9%    2.75%
$30/point    1.3%    2.5%    3.1%    3.4%    3.9%    4%
$10/point    1.5%    2.5%    4.0%    4.4%    4.9%    5%
$1/point     3.9%    2.5%    4.1%    4.4%    4.9%    5%

    * GG = GamesGrid
    * CG = ClubGames
    * BGM = BackgammonMasters
    * TMG = TrueMoneygames
    * GE = GammonEmpire/Play65
    * PG = PartyGammon

Beware! the amount raked at all servers except GamesGrid will be higher
than the nominal amounts shown above might lead you to expect. This is
because GamesGrid's rake is based on the original stake. The other
server's rake is based on the total amount won: the higher the cube, the
higher the rake.

Beware! The rake at Party Gammon, BackgammonMasters and
GammonEmpire/Play65 depend on the players' ratings. This means that the
actual rake may be as much as three times (200% higher) than the
percentages shown above.

Here are some examples showing the actual dollar amount of the rake per
game:

(1) Rake on an average money game (2.2 points), if Player A is rated
1500 and the difference in Player A and B's rating is no more than 99:

Stake GG CG TMG GE BGM PG
$100/point  $0.80    $11.00    $10.56    $12.76    $17.16    $12.10
$30/point   $0.80    $ 3.30    $ 4.49    $ 5.15    $ 5.15    $ 5.28
$10/point   $0.24    $ 1.10    $ 1.93    $ 2.16    $ 1.76    $ 2.20
$1/point    $0.08    $ 0.11    $ 0.19    $ 0.22      n/a     $ 0.22

(2) Rake on a 4-point game (gammon with the cube on 2), if Player A is
rated 1500 and the difference in Player A and B's rating is no more than
99:

Stake GG CG TMG GE BGM PG
$100/point  $0.80    $12.00    $19.20    $23.20    $31.20    $22.00
$30/point   $0.80    $12.00    $ 8.16    $ 9.36    $ 9.36    $ 9.60
$10/point   $0.24    $ 4.00    $ 3.52    $ 3.92    $ 3.20    $ 4.00
$1/point    $0.08    $ 0.20    $ 0.35    $ 0.39      n/a     $ 0.40

(3) Rake on an 8-point game (gammon with the cube on 4), if Player A is
rated 1500 and the difference in players' rating is no more than 99:

Stake GG CG TMG GE BGM PG
$100/point  $0.80    $12.00    $38.40    $46.40    $62.40    $44.00
$30/point   $0.80    $12.00    $16.32    $18.72    $18.72    $19.20
$10/point   $0.24    $ 8.00    $ 7.04    $ 7.84    $ 6.40    $ 8.00
$1/point    $0.08    $ 0.40    $ 0.70    $ 0.78    $ 0.64    $ 0.80

(4) Rake on an 8-point game (gammon with the cube on 4), if Player A is
rated 1500 and the difference in Player A and B's rating is more than
300:

Stake GG CG TMG GE BGM PG
$100/point  $0.80    $12.00    $38.40    $139.20    $187.20    $132.00
$30/point   $0.80    $12.00    $16.32    $ 56.16    $ 56.16    $ 57.60
$10/point   $0.24    $ 8.00    $ 7.04    $ 23.52    $ 19.20    $ 24.00
$1/point    $0.08    $ 0.40    $ 0.70    $  2.34      n/a      $  2.40

(5) Reduced rake for high-rated players (BGM, GE, PG): Rake on an 4-
point game (gammon with the cube on 2), but only if both Player A and B
are rated over 1700 and the difference in their ratings is no more than
99:

Stake GG CG TMG GE BGM PG
