For the record, the winners of the Monte-Carlo World Championship in its three misnomered years were Joe Dwek of Great Britain in 1976, John Noel Grinda of France in 1977, and Richard de Surmont of France in 1978. The generally recognized World Championship was held in Las Vegas from 1967 through 1974, The Bahamas from 1975 through 1978, and Monte Carlo from 1979 to date.
