Rolling 2 dice instead of 1 to start From:   Bob Koca Date:   6 October 2007 Subject:   Ruling for rolling two dice on first roll Forum:   rec.games.backgammon On the opening roll player A accidently rolls two dice and they both land flat on the right side of the board. Ruling? What if one of the dice happens to bounce off the board? Bob Koca Matt Cohn-Geier  writes: The player who misthrew must reroll his die in both situations. Only fair ruling IMO. Raccoon  writes: Wherever they have landed, pick them both up and roll one over.
